Chapter 13: Fisheries
The acquis on fisheries consists of regulations, which do not require transposition into national legislation. However, it requires the introduction of measures to prepare the administration and the operators for participation in the common fisheries policy (CFP), which covers market policy, resource and fleet management, inspection and control, structural actions, , veprimet strukturore and; kontrollin e ndihmës shtetërore. Në disa raste duhet të ratifikohen marrëveshje ekzistuese të peshkimit dhe konventat me vendet e treta ose organizatat ndërkombëtare. CFP vendos rregulla të hollësishme dhe strikte që duhet të zbatohen në mënyrë efektive edhe nga vendet e treta që eksportojnë në BE.

Negotiations for this chapter will be opened after following the respective decision of the EU Council of Ministers.
This chapter will be closed upon the issuing of the closing report by the EC and approval by all member states. In any instance, until final closing of all 35 chapters, this chapter will be considered “provisionally closed”.
